Boat Move

We moved the boat from 4 Corners to Cuba Landing (just under 100 miles) on Friday. All went well, despite heavy rains and wind on Friday morning. The transporter was late, so by the time he arrived, the sun was coming out and the wind was manageable. Cats and Dinah made the trip well. Because we had some last minute issues during the week, we didn't get all our good-byes said, so we drove back to Nashville on Saturday to visit : Jase, Trish, & Caitlyn, Joy and Mike, and Craig, DeeAnne, & Ian, who later drove us back to Cuba Landing after dropping our vehicles off at Mike's dealership for the next year. Saying goodbye to the little ones was the most difficult... a year is a long time in their lives!
Today (Sunday) we have spent here at Cuba Landing getting small but important things done, and readying for travel tomorrow. The foliage is just wonderful and today's warm temps and bright sun made for a great day, complete with our own worship service on the top deck (not a church for about 10 miles). We took our dinghy for a 'maiden voyage' row around the marina: it's much more stable than the one we previously had and will work fine!
We're ready to head south (which is actually UP the river) tomorrow morning. Likely we will go about 40 miles... we're not hurrying, just enjoying the wonderful views!
