Carrabelle

The port shift 'lock' was indeed a freeze. We got it operative and
left PSJ at 10:30, almost 3 hours later than planned. We travelled 60
miles to Carrabelle and arrived at 5 pm est. We had a great
'following' wind pushing us across St George's Bay, only occasionally
hitting us from the side (rock and roll!) At times we were doing
11.5 mph. Temp in the cabin was mid 60s all day; outside was mid 40s
even with the bright sunshine. So glad we have the GPS hookup down
here!! Tonight another hard freeze. We are all plugged in with
heaters running and have a drop-cord under the console upstairs
burning to keep the shift from freezing again tonight. We are taking
our supper next door to eat with our traveling friends, Tony and Joan
on Destrier. Unless the forecast changes, we plan to leave at
daylight or maybe just before in order to reach Steinhatchee tomo
night. Still searching for warmer weather. It's abot 85 miles, depending
on who you talk to, so we're going to have to use every glimmer of
traveling light.
